DIERS 4D posture Lab

The DIERS formetric 4D and DIERS pedoscan systems are designed to work together, providing a comprehensive, radiation-free biomechanical assessment of the entire body from spine to feet. This integrated approach is particularly valuable for diagnosing postural issues and planning treatments like custom orthotic insoles.diers+3

2-in-1 Solution

DIERS formetric 4D + DIERS pedoscan

DIERS formetric 4D

3D/4D Spine & Posture Analysis

DIERS formetric 4D

The DIERS formetric 4D uses Video-Raster-Stereography (VRS) to create a detailed 3D model of the patient’s back surface. A projected light grid is captured by a camera and analyzed by software to assess spinal posture and alignment without physical contact.

DIERS pedoscan

Static and Dynamic Foot Pressure Measurement

DIERS pedoscan

The DIERS pedoscan quickly and accurately captures and displays foot pressure distribution during both standing and walking, enabling precise assessment of foot loading and gait.

Key Features

Short & Crisp Version

DIERS Formetric uses Moire Topography, optical triangulation, and photogrammetry to create a 3D model of the spine and back surface.

A light projector and camera capture the patient’s back, while advanced software analyzes spinal curvature, vertebral rotation, pelvic position, and posture.

Key Advantage: Unlike X-rays, it is radiation-free and provides comprehensive posture and spine analysis, helping identify spinal and muscular imbalances.

Technical Specifications

Automatic Anatomical Landmark Detection

The system automatically identifies key anatomical landmarks using surface-curvature analysis to reconstruct the spine.

Benefit: No manual markers are generally required.

4D Technology

4D Technology (3D + Time) enhances the DIERS Formetric system with fast, accurate, and reproducible measurements.

  • Ultra-short exposure minimizes motion artifacts.
  • Image averaging compensates for natural body sway.
  • Enables dynamic posture and functional tests over time.

3D Spine Reconstruction

Uses surface-curvature analysis to create a 3D model of the spine, showing spinal curvature and individual vertebral rotation.
